U9 Terrors
v
Kingswood Terriers 4 – 4 D
28 October 2007 |
|
After two defeats
the boy confidence
had been knocked a
bit even after going
1-0 down early on
David (the goal
Machine) equalised
but Kingswood came
back strongly and
went in 3-1 up at
half time. The boys
came out for the
second half and with
Noah back in the
squad and Alfie and
Danny B coming in
from the colts the
boys showed real
character. Danny W
scored to make the
score 3-2. With
midfielder Danny S
and Josh rotating
and hard defending
from Lewis and
Harry, David scored
two more goals and
the score was 4-3 to
the Terrors. Then
with almost the last
kick of the game
Kingswood equalised
and the score
finished 4-4.
Excellent effort by
all the boys and at
least it brings an
end to our run of
defeats and with
this type of spirit
it won’t be long
before we get back
to winning ways.
Well done all of
you.

U10 Colts
v
Carshalton Home League 4-2
won 28 October |
|
The Colts got back
to winning ways with
a brilliant 4-2
victory over
Carshalton in this
top of the table
clash. The boys
really had the bit
between their teeth
from the kick-off,
and some of their
passing play was a
delight to watch.
The win moves them
level on points with
Carshalton. There
were a couple of
tactical switches
for the match, with
Bouchez moving into
defence from his
usual wide left
slot, Williams
taking up a midfield
role and Churchman
moving up front. The
changes certainly
worked, with the
Colts playing at a
much higher tempo,
causing Carshalton
problems from the
start. Much of the
Colts’ early efforts
came from good work
down the left, where
Power was causing a
threat with some
neat passes and
strong runs. Bouchez
almost grabbed the
opening goal with a
shot from the
halfway line that
the Carshalton
keeper fumbled and
just managed to
clear as Kearley
loomed. Kearley then
twice went close.
First he fired wide
after being set up
by Churchman’s
superb one-touch
lay-off, and then he
latched onto a long
pass from Bouchez
but his effort was
well saved.
Carshalton also had
a couple of decent
chances but Abassi
was again in
excellent form at
the back, timing his
tackles well and
anticipating the
danger. It didn’t
take the Colts long
to break the
deadlock in the
second half.
Churchman’s corner
was only
half-cleared and the
ball broke to
Williams who made no
mistake from close
range. Churchman
made it 2-0 with the
best goal of the
match. Abassi,
Power, Kearley all
exchanged passes in
a swift
counter-attack and
the striker coolly
slotted home. The
Colts were now
dominant and a third
goal duly followed.
Williams floated a
beautiful pass over
the top of the
Carshalton defence
for Kearley, who
picked his spot. The
visitors pulled one
back and then gave
the Colts a scare by
making it 3-2. A
free-kick struck the
underside of the bar
and as Hogan tried
to grab the ball on
the line, the
Carshalton player
appeared to knock it
out of the keeper’s
hands but the goal
stood. Creegan,
Rondeau and Thornton
all came on for the
Colts to provide
fresh legs and in
the final couple of
minutes Kearley made
sure of the points
with his second of
the match. Again
Churchman was the
provider with a
super pass and
Kearley sent an
unstoppable drive
into the top corner.

U10 Terrors
v
Oxshott Royals 5-0L 28
October 2007 |
|
This was our first
defeat since the
start of the season,
the signs were there
in the last two
games we played that
a defeat was coming.
From the kick off we
were not awake and
with Oxshotts first
attack they scored.
We improved after
that but our boys
were always looking
second best and
never really looked
like threatening A
strong Oxshott
defence, only some
good goalkeeping
from Bryan kept us
in the game but with
the first half
coming to a close
Oxshott scored
again.
Second half Oxshott
started quicker
passing and moving
the ball something
our boys seemed to
forget about these
last few weeks And
with silly errors we
went three down, the
boys automatically
resigned to losing
conceded to further
goals. With all the
hard work and good
performances in the
last month we should
have done better and
need to improve all
over the pitch to
compete in premier
elite..

U7 Terrors
v West
Molesey 2-1 win ( Away)
28.10.07 |
|
This was my first
match coaching the
Terrors and they
were not to
disappoint.
A superb performance
by the team against
a very strong
Molesey outfit ended
in a superb 2-1
victory. This would
have been an
unbelievable
achievement on its
own but to do it
with only 6 boys for
95% of the match was
unbelievable. Great
goalkeeping from
Rivaldo ( or should
I say Dida) who made
a series of fine
saves to thwart the
opposition. In fact
at one stage he kept
out four players
entirely on his own.
The twins Jamie and
Mark were all over
the pitch with Mark
making some very
good runs and some
excellent passes and
Jamie’s goal ( which
has been captured on
video by his Mum) is
surely a contender
for goal of the
season – not just in
this league but the
whole of English
football !!! The
goal came from some
slick interpassing
resulting in Alex
breaking forward on
goal, he hit an
unstoppable shot
from outside of the
area that cannoned
off the post – it
was hit so hard that
the rebound ended
further back from
where he shot it
only for Jamie to
follow up and hit
the half volley
first time with his
left foot into the
top left hand corner
– cue fantastic
celebrations! Sasha
who had an
unbelievable game
must have covered
every blade of grass
twice. His tackling
was superb as well
as his renowned
dribbling skills.
How he did not score
was a mystery. If he
can just relax a bit
more on the ball at
times he will be the
complete player.
Bradley was a
revelation in
defence on his debut
and his tackling
especially was
excellent. Alex also
had a strong game
showing some neat
tricks and back
heels and taking
some excellent
corners. The coach
would like to see
him also put in some
strong tackles like
Sasha and Bradley.
West Molesey
equalised shortly
after the break but
instead of letting
this get to them the
team responded
magnificently
defending as though
their lives depended
on it and
unbelievably with
three minutes to go
Bradley stormed the
length of the pitch
to score past a
despairing
goalkeeper. The look
of disbelief on
Bradley’s face was a
picture and was
testament to all the
hard work and effort
AND FUN the team
were having. Tyriece
finally showed up
for some last minute
heroics and the team
deservedly held on
to win a superb game
of football.
Full credit to the
Terrors, a fantastic
performance and the
coach looks forward
to working with them
again soon.
Man of the Match:
Everyone – could not
fault anyone for
effort, application
and was great to see
players playing with
a smile on their
faces.

U9 Colts
v
AC Fulham 3-0 win home
October 21, 2007 |
|
TM started very
brightly and scored
in the first two
minutes. It followed
from a scramble in
the box. Charlie
came through
strongly with the
ball and after some
confusion in the
opposition’s defence
Tommy got the last
touch to put it in
the net. TM
continued their
bright start playing
some good football.
A fine through ball
saw Louis score with
a drive into the
corner of the net
past the keeper just
off the ground to
make it 2-0 after
just five minutes.
Fulham came back
into the game and
battled well with
some quick play in
midfield and TM
fought hard to keep
the stalemate.
Towards the end of
the half Ben took a
free kick just
outside the box,
following a foul,
which hit the bar.
Charlie was unlucky
not to score on the
follow up. Reshaun
played a solid game
in goal and the
score remained 2-0
at half-time. TM
generally dominated
in the second half
and played some good
passing football
with the midfield in
control, Owen
supplying some good
passes. Bradley and
Chin kept the
defence solid at the
back and passed the
ball well, and made
good tackles and
clearances. Chin
moved to centre
forward and a fine
attack saw him hold
the ball up well
with the ball
breaking to Tommy
who took the ball on
to score with a cool
finish inside the
right hand post. Ben
suffered a nasty
clash and had to
come off, but the
defence stayed
resolute with
Bradley having a
fine game. Tommy was
unfortunate not to
score a hat-trick
with a long range
shot after some fine
midfield play from
Owen and Charlie.
Luke came on with
the whole team
playing well to
complete a 3-0
victory. Reshaun
deserves special
mention for playing
his first game in
goal and keeping a
clean sheet.

U10 Colts
v
Links League 1-3 Lost Away
October 21, 2007 |
|
Two goals in a
minute cost the
Colts the points at
Links on Sunday. The
boys really battled
well in a tightly
contested game and
were unlucky to come
away empty handed.
Bouchez banged in
his fifth goal on
the season to give
the Colts the lead
but the home side
got back into the
match thanks to a
deflected goal and
grabbed two more
after the interval
to seal the points.
The Stripes started
the match brightly
and Kearley twice
went close, sending
shots skidding just
past the post.
Thornton was also
unlucky not to score
a back-heeled goal
similar to last
week’s before a
terrific run down
the right flank by
Williams and Kearley
saw the ball fall to
Bouchez who blasted
it into the top
corner from the edge
of the box. The
Colts looked
comfortable at this
point, with any
danger from Links
superbly cut out by
Abassi at the back,
timing his tackles
to perfection. His
defensive partner
Churchman was
bringing the ball
out well and setting
up attacks with some
excellent passing.
Hogan, back in goal
after a three-match
absence, was also
showing his ability
with some fine saves
and good throw-outs
to his team-mates.
Just as it appeared
the Colts would go
into the half-time
break ahead, Links
scored a somewhat
lucky equaliser – a
cross from the left
took a heavy
deflection and
looped over Hogan
into the net. There
was plenty of
end-to-end action in
the second half too
and the Colts were
unlucky to see a
number of shots go
agonisingly past the
posts or get blocked
near the line. It
was an uphill task
when Links grabbed
two goals in a
minute but the boys
showed excellent
attitude – they
never gave up,
attacking at every
opportunity as tried
to get back in the
game. Power, Creegan
and Rondeau all came
on as second half
substitutes but it
was Links who went
home the happiest.

U8 Terrors
v
Epson Eagle 3-4 loss
October 21, 2007 |
|
Team: Vick, Dalton,
Farmer, Demby,
Cooper, Cousins,
Santacroce
The Stripe's went
into this game with
only the basic 7
players to field
with no subs due to
half term holiday's
and other
commitments. Tooting
started well with
good shots coming
from Santacroce and
Demby in the opening
minutes some great
passing followed and
the deadlock was
broken when Demby
caught on to a
Santacroce pass
which came from a
great through ball
from Dalton, Demby
making sure with a
fantastic shot in to
the bottom left hand
corner. With 10
minutes left of the
first half Cooper
had to leave the
field with a kick to
the knee this
leaving Tooting 1
short and against a
team like Epsom you
will get punished
with them scoring 2
goals before the
half time whistle
leaving it 2-1 to
Epsom at half time.
With Cooper
returning for the
second half Tooting
were caught on the
counter attack with
Epsom taking a 3-1
lead. Tooting heads
did not drop and
with Cousins working
hard and Farmer
having a great game
Tooting started to
play like they did
in the first 10
minutes of the first
half. Whilst the
ever improving Vick
producing some great
saves Santacroce,
Demby and Cooper all
had shots at goal
and it was these 3
again who combined
to set up Demby for
Tootings 2nd.
Tootings boys now
pushed for the
equaliser which left
space at the back
and Epsom again
capitalising with
Vick left in a 3 on
1 situation and
unable to stop Epsom
going 4-2 up. With
Epsom using there 3
rolling subs wisely
our boys stared to
look tired but even
so Tooting continued
to press with the
Epsom post being
their saviour on
more than a couple
of occasions, The
pressure finally
told when Demby
passed to Santacroce
who blasted it in
and to set up a
thrilling last 5
minutes. With Farmer
and Dalton pinging
in balls and Cousins
making a nuisance of
himself in midfield
Everyone in the
Stripes at some
point seemed to have
a shot saved or
blocked and with a
bit of luck Tooting
might have got the
equaliser but sadly
time beat us and the
final whistle went
4-3 to Epsom. After
the game it was felt
by the players and
supporters that it
was a game we should
have won and had we
taken our chances we
no doubt would
have.Last weeks man
of the match Andrew
Demby then handed
the trophy to this
weeks man of the
match Teddy Farmer
after a great all
round game. .

1st half:
Epsom start well,
with two clear
chances early on in
the game. James
attacks for T & M
the keeper comes out
but can’t get a grip
of the ball, Casey
knocks it onto
James- James scores.
1-0 to T & M. After
a corner by Harry
for T & M which just
goes wide, Epsom
counter attack and
score. 1-1.
2nd half: The
second half starts
with some very even
play by both sides.
Epsom have a good
chance which just
goes over the cross
bar. T & M win 2
corners, a great
header from Cameron
onto the path of J.J.
J.J scores.2-1 Epsom
win a free kick
which hits the bar.
A great chance for
Epsom! Epsom are not
giving up. Even with
only 6 men they keep
battling and
battling. The full
time whistle is
blown. What a great
game! Epsom deserved
to get something out
of the game however
this is a good 3
points for T &M.

U7 Colts
v
Kew Park Rangers 5-2 win
October 14, 2007 |
|
This was a deserved
win but achieved
without living up to
the standard of the
previous week,
hampered undoubtedly
by the small pitch
and the 5-a-side
goals. Whilst there
were many good
individual
performances – Sacha
notably bagging two
goals – there was
not the same
strength of team
play seen in recent
weeks. Having said
that, the result
should not be
underestimated – Kew
had a number of
skilful players who
always looked
capable of scoring a
goal and it is a
reflection of good
defending and
goalkeeping (each
team member having a
spell in goal) that
no more than two
goals were conceded.

U8 Terrors
v
Wallington AFC away 6-1 win
October 14, 2007 |
|
After last weeks
defeat the Stripes
visited Wallington
AFC to make up for
last weeks hiccup.
The game didn't
start well with
Wallington scoring
first after only 2
minutes with Vicks
being unlucky not to
have saved it.
Wallingtons goal
seemed to spur us on
rather than them and
Tooting's equaliser
came from the trusty
boot of Smith-Rowe
who struck from
outside the box.
Tooting took the
lead with some great
passing between
Santacroce, Demby
and Smith-Rowe which
resulted in
Smith-Rowe getting
his and our 2nd. It
was Santacroce's
turn to shine and
with 15 minutes gone
he struck a a superb
shot into the left
hand corner from
well outside the
box. We started the
2nd half well with
Cooper and Cousins
on the wings
attacking and then
getting back to help
with the defending
it gave the chance
for Farmer and Iggo
to push up.
Iggo, Cooper and
Santacroce all came
close to adding to
the score but that
honour went to the
excellent Demby who
only seems to score
absolute stunners to
make it 4-1. Before
Wallington could
recover Demby struck
again and with the
likes of Dalton
,Farmer and Iggo
keeping the useful
Wallington strikers
quite all that was
left was for highly
talented Smith-Rowe
to grab his
hat-trick and round
off an excellent
team performance.
After last weeks
defeat the team have
pulled together and
produced their best
performance of the
season so far so
well done everyone.
A thanks to Les,
Albert and Iggos dad
for helping Alan
with the training
and Julia for being

1st Half: The

with a corner taken
for T & M by Harry,
T & M‘s first real
attempt at goal,
followed by another
attempt by Casey
which goes wide of

play is followed by
some good football
from Bedfont,
matched by some good
defending by T & M.
T & M have the ball

U10 Colts
v
Cannons home League 1-2 lost
October 14, 2007 |
|
The Colts came back
to earth with a bump
on Sunday, suffering
a surprise 2-1
defeat against
Cannons. In fairness
it was no more than
the visitors
deserved, surviving
a late onslaught
from the Colts to
take all three
points. The Stripes
will be disappointed
with the result but
after setting such
high standards in an
excellent start to
the season, it was
perhaps only natural
that their
performance dipped a
little. The boys
looked nervous in
the opening period
of the game and
found it difficult
to reproduce their
usual fluent passing
moves, especially
after conceding an
early goal. But they
gradually worked
themselves back into
the game, with
Rondeau’s looping
shot and Thornton’s
powerful drive their
best chances of the
first half. Williams
was doing his best
to inject some
energy into the team
with several strong
runs and some
excellent covering
tackles in midfield,
while Churchman and
Power looked to link
up play with some
neat touches. The
Colts came out for
the second half with
much more
determination and
there was relief all
round when they
equalised. Cannons
failed to deal with
Churchman’s corner
from the right and
as the ball bobbled
around the box,
Bouchez’s shot was
expertly back-heeled
in by Thornton.
Colts now looked the
stronger side.
Abbasi looked
assured at the back
and when the Colts
broke forward,
Thornton almost
added a second
following Kearley’s
super pass. But
despite working
themselves some good
crossing positions
and forcing a number
of corners, the
Colts found the
visitors’ goalkeeper
in fine form. And it
was Cannons who went
on to win the game
when they fired in a
powerful free-kick
from the edge of the
box that gave
Creegan no chance.
The boys were
disappointed to lose
their first league
game and will be
eager to improve
next week.

U9 Colts
v
Badshot Lea away 0-6 loss
14/10/07 |
|
A game similar in
many ways to last
week’s. We lost to a
good team away from
home, failing to
trouble their keeper
at any time during
the game. Again we
started well enough
and built a few
attacks with Owen
down the right and
Tommy on the left
getting the ball
forward to Louis
supported by Ben.
However we got less
time on the ball as
Badshot Lea settled
down and they began
to enjoy more
uncontested
possession in
midfield. Chin and
Charlie had to swept
up and make more and
more tackles with
Alfie being tested
in goal. Our goal
kicks were being
closed down well and
when Tommy contested
one he took a knock
on the head and was
replaced by Danny
Blankson on the left
side of midfield. We
came under more and
more pressure with
Badshot forcing some
good saves from
Alfie and numerous
corners. The game
was now being played
almost entirely in
our half and
inevitably we paid
for successive
errors with three
goal before
half-time. The boys
had the desire to
make a game of it in
the second half and
to break the pattern
of play. However, we
were now playing as
a group of
individuals trying
to do their best.
Again, we allowed
the opposition too
much uncontested
possession in
midfield and some of
their players were
able to ride through
tackles from
isolated players.
What attacking play
we did manage was
dealt with as we
were getting caught
in possession,
giving the ball away
and not stringing
passes together.
Consequently, the
opposition got more
and more confident
and were trying
shots at goal from
outfield and working
and inter-passing
well closer in,
leading to three
more goals. We have
suffered a big loss
of form in the last
two weeks and have
much better players
than these results
and performances
reflect. However,
our last two
opponents have been
very strong and are
two of only three
unbeaten teams in
the division.

U7 Colts
v
Wandgas 8-1 win October 7, 2007 |
|
This was the Colts
at their best so far
this season and a
good indictor of how
far the team has
progressed since
coming together in
September. They
played with
confidence and with
many neat passing
movements – and this
was against a
Wandgas team who
themselves were a
pretty useful side.
Not only did the
team look dangerous
when coming forward
in open play but,
unusually for a team
of this age, with
Alex’s accurate
crosses so too did
they at corners – it
was as if they had
been practicing set
pieces at Saturday
morning training!
Defensively, Ruben
was a tower of
strength and shut
down almost
single-handedly the
Wandgas attacks.
Although an early
start – 9.15am
kick-off – there
will be few parents
complaining at
getting up early on
a Sunday if the
Colts turn in
performances like

U10 Colts
v
Kingstonian away League 3-3
drew October 7, 2007 |
|
What a game! The
Colts produced
another fantastic
display to snatch a
dramatic 3-3 draw
against Kingstonian.
All the players can
be very proud of
their efforts as
they twice came from
behind to salvage a
point in an end to
end match from the
first whistle until
the last. Thornton,
still wearing the No
1 shirt in place of
the absent Hogan,
was the first keeper
into action, pulling
off a number of
excellent saves in
the opening period
as Kingstonian
pressed. But there
was nothing he could
do to stop the home
side going ahead
when one of their
dangerous attackers
burst into the box
and fired home. The
Colts came back
immediately, with
Churchman and
Rondeau linking well
down the left and
Kearley putting in
his usual all-action
performance in
midfield. In
defence, Power and
Abbasi were solid,
putting in some
excellent tackles
against
Kingstonian’s quick
strikers. The Colts
then found
themselves 2-0 down
but hit back just
before half-time
when Creegan sneaked
in at the far post
to tap in
Churchman’s testing
cross. The goal
certainly lifted the
Stripes because they
came out full of
energy and it was
Creegan who got his
second of the game
to bring them level.
Williams produced a
brilliant piece of
skill to work some
space in midfield
and fed the ball
through to Creegan
who made no mistake.
Kearley almost put
the Colts ahead but
his 20-yard
free-kick was tipped
over. The Colts were
now looking the
stronger team but
again trailed when
Kingstonian’s danger
man scored another
excellent goal.
Unfortunately for
the same player, he
then brought the
Colts level,
diverting the ball
past his own keeper
under strong
pressure from
Bouchez. Both teams
were still giving it
everything and had
chances to grab a
winner but the game
ended in a draw
which was a fair
result.
Coach: Mick Thornton
Manager: Mike
Churchman

Thornton, Abbasi,
Bouchez, Power,

U10 Terrors
v
Staines Town Junior’s -
Premier Elite North Score
1-1 07/10/2007 |
|
Our fourth away game
of the season. We
travelled to Staines
Town, last season’s
champions. With some
good results behind
us the boys seemed
in a confident mood
and they showed
their confidence
from the first
whistle with passing
and moving, they
were closing Staines
down, never letting
them get into there
stride. Casey and
Cameron were
dominating midfield,
Reece and Harry
looking good at the
back, calm Bryan in
goal and JJ and
James causing
trouble up front. We
took the lead
through Casey on
about the fifteenth
minute. A shot from
JJ was blocked by a
Staines defender
which Casey was on
to quickly and
smashed the ball
into the roof of the
net. Staines was
always in the game
with some good
attacking play but
some good defending
saw us go in at half
time 1-0 up. Half
time. Again we came
out strongly
battling well both
teams having shots
on target but both
keepers staying
strong and up to it
,with Michael coming
on at the back and
Thomas up front we
had some fresh legs
on that we needed.
With time running
out for Staines they
pushed forward but
our boys kept
closing them down.
The ref had other
ideas and into the
fifth minute of
stoppage time
Staines were awarded
a corner, with our
players exhausted
and a lack of
concentration,
Staines had a free
header from the
corner that they
scored from. About
30 seconds later yes
you guessed it the
ref blew the final
whistle. A game we
deserved to win, but
some very unfair
decisions, and 7
minutes extra time
given (that would
not have even been
seen in the
Premiership) cost us
3 points However at
the end off the day
a point away to
Staines is a good
result.
Well done boys keep
up the good work!

U9 Colts
v
Fulham Wanderers FC-
away-lost 0-5 7
October 2007 |
|
A difficult and very
challenging game for
the boys this week
playing away from
home on a large
pitch against a big,
strong, organised,
committed and
technically
proficient side. To
the boys credit they
remained positive
and industrious
throughout the game
never once did they
stop trying to get
on the score sheet
with all nine
players showing a
great attitude
despite,
surprisingly, being
outplayed and
challenged for much
of the game. The
starting formation
was as last week
except that, with
Luke Henderson
unable to play, Owen
started on the right
with Tommy on the
left. We started
well with the game
going end to end.
Our front man Danny
battled well against
a strong, tight
defence. However,
Fulham began to
build attacks from
deep with their
fast, strong
midfielders. Having
scored from a corner
they caught us on
the break, as we
chased the game,
winning a penalty
from a one-on-one
with our keeper
Alfie, who having
another excellent
game, almost held
onto the spot kick.
For the rest of the
half we had to
defend with Tommy
and Owen and our
substitutes Reshaun
and Jamarl tracking
back, tackling and
forcing their men
wide. Ben and Chin
stayed solid, helped
by Charlie, who as
always covered a lot
of ground during the
game. After the
break Ben played in
the middle with
Charlie joining Chin
in defence, but an
early third goal put
us on the back foot
again. However, all
the boys worked and
battled despite the
3:0 scoreline.
Tommy, Owen and
later Reshaun worked
hard out wide and we
held the ball more
in the middle with
some good passing
between Jamarl, Ben
and Danny, but a
very committed
defence and midfield
ensured we failed
get close enough to
really trouble their
keeper, despite some
good breaks and
forcing some
corners. Fulham were
impressive in
technique and
remained combative
to the end scoring
two more goals, the
first from a dubious
free kick. The boys
attitude was
exemplary and they
will learn with
experience to handle
physical games like
this.
